Sub-Section Review Quiz
A review quiz, in the form
of a fun, interactive 'Knowledge
Vial' puzzle is given at the end of each sub-section.
This brief quiz emphasizes important topics. The 'Knowledge
Vial' puzzles are a fun exercise in rewarding
the student for completion of a particular sub-section.
Section
Tests
In
the section popup window, the
Take Test and
View Result icons are displayed.
Each section contains automatically generated section test.
The questions of the section test are referencing the particular
section only. When a new
section test is requested, a new question set will be re-generated from a
‘master test question’ data bank, which contains over 1000 question
sets. Each section test
generated will provide different question and/or in different order.
In order to be awarded a
Blue
Ribbon for that particular section, the student must score
75% or higher on one of the
last
eight section test attempts.
The ‘Blue Ribbon’ is needed to activate PassAssured’s
Guarantee Option.
Tools
are provided to assist the student while taking exams.
A Real Time
Scoring Thermometer is displayed on the right side of the
screen. The ‘Real Time’
scoring thermometer monitors the students score in 'real time' based on
the number of questions attempted. The
yellow progress
bar provides a 'quick glance' indication of the percent
complete the student has achieved. The
question count indicator
provides the student an accurate indication of the total number of
questions, and the number attempted.
The feedback
panel gives the student visual and audible indications,
alerting he or she when the answer is correct or incorrect.
Plus, the text feedback enables an enhanced learning environment
for the student. Calculation
question feedback is in graphical form, providing an example of how the
particular answer was calculated.
Practice Pre Test
The
Practice Pre Test
is a timed indicated test, with feedback to
enhance the student learning exercise.
The test timers are halted when a feedback screen is displayed.
When the three hour time limit has expired, a
warning will
appear, indicating to the student that the three hour time limit has been
reached. However, the
Practice Pre Test will allow the student to complete the test.
Each question provides full feedback, an audio tone, a visual 'STOP
Light', and full text feedback. If
an answer to a question is correctly selected, feedback is given
supporting the correct answer. If
an incorrect answer is selected, feedback is given offering the student
additional information to formulate the correct answer.
Tools are provided to assist the
student while taking exams. A

Practice Exam
The
Practice Exam is designed to mimic the PTCB exam.
Aspects of an actual exam setting are applied.
The Practice Exam offers the student no feedback.
When a possible answer is selected, a checkmark indicates the
selected answer, then the next question is displayed.
The ‘Real Time” scoring thermometer is not indicated.
The timer will run for three hours, then terminate the exam.
The score will be based on the number of questions answered
correctly, verses the total number of questions (125).
The student is not allowed to quit and resume a
Practice Exam. If the student
has to quit a Practice Exam before complete or the time limit has expired,
all answers will be erased and the score will not be recorded. Please allow adequate time for Practice Exams.
Guarantee or ‘Blue Ribbon’
Exam
The
Guarantee Test or ‘Blue Ribbon’ Exam, provides
the student a means of activating PassAssured’s Guarantee option. In order to activate the ‘Blue Ribbon’ exam, the student
must score 75% or higher on all six section tests.
The ‘Blue Ribbon’ system will monitor the last eight scores of
each section test for a 75% or higher score.
Once the level is achieved, a ‘Blue Ribbon’ will be awarded and
indicated next to the particular section.
Once all six sections have a ‘Blue Ribbon’ awarded, the
Guarantee Test or ‘Blue Ribbon’ Test will activate.
If during a students review, the highest of the last eight section
test scores drops below 75%, the Guarantee or ‘Blue Ribbon’ test
option will deactivate. And
will only become available when all six section are indicating a ‘Blue
Ribbon’. Once a student has
scored above 75% on a Guarantee or ‘Blue Ribbon’ exam, an option to
print out or email the ‘Guarantee or ‘Blue Ribbon’ test results will
become available. This process is a vital component of activating
PassAssured’s Guarantee Option.|
PassAssured Guarantee Option
Pass Assured is so confident in your
success while using our premier product, Pass Assured's Pharmacy
Technician Training Program, to prepare for the PTCB Exam, Pass Assured
offers a 'Guarantee Option'. In the unlikely event a student fails an
attempted PTCB Exam, PassAssured will pay for the second PTCB Exam. The
conditions for activating PassAssured's Guarantee Option is described
below.
To be
eligible for Pass Assured's 'Guarantee Option' the user must:
Be a valid current registered user of Pass Assured’s Pharmacy Technician
Training Program (PTTP).
The user
must register within 90 days of purchase date.
Successfully complete (75% or higher) Pass Assured’s Guarantee Test.
The
Guarantee Test results page (coded with the originally provided or
re-registered Pass Assured’s Product ID Code) must arrive at Pass
Assured’s offices 15 days before the requested test date (date of your
first exam).
Note-
Completion of all of the above items must be done, as stated, for the user
to be eligible for Pass Assured's Guarantee Option.
To
activate the Guarantee Option (in the event a student fails a PTCB Exam)
The registered user must contact Pass Assured's offices requesting
activation of user's Guarantee Option.
The
registered user must supply Pass Assured a copy of the original failed
exam results, by fax, mail, or email within 60 days after your failed exam
date.
You must
enter Pass Assured’s “Guarantee Option Product ID Code” into the products
registration (the Guarantee Product ID Code will activate the CD-ROM’s
Guarantee mode and provide additional time before program expiration). The
product's Guarantee Option Test results will be invalid, if Pass Assured’s
Guarantee Product ID Code is not indicated.
You must
take the second PTCB Exam within 1 year of the first exam date.
Request
for a second test date must be received by Pass Assured's offices at least
75 days before the requested exam date (so that Pass Assured can register
you for the second attempted PTCB exam before the PTCB exam application
deadline).

Options Sole Remedy:
Pass
Assured’s guarantee option is to pay the normal and customary cost of a
second PTCB exam for eligible users.. All other costs are the
responsibility of the student.
